This is a block diagram of the MCF5227x microprocessor. As mentioned before, the MCF5227x is based on the ColdFire V2 microprocessor core, which offers up to 158 MIPS of performance at 160MHz. The MCF5227x is also equipped with many integrated features. The on-board LCD controller is able to support up to 800x600 resolution or SVGA resolution. There is also an integrated eight-channel, 12-bit analog/digital converter with a true touch screen controller to provide support for touch screen interfaces. Additionally, the MCF5227x is equipped with a number of connectivity peripherals, such as USB On-The-Go, CAN, and several other standard serial interfaces.
