SCRs, Thyristoren

SCRs (Silicon Controlled Rectifiers) sind Bauelemente mit drei Anschlüssen, die sich wie Gleichrichterdioden verhalten, zusätzlich jedoch in der Lage sind, den Stromfluss in Vorwärtsrichtung zu blockieren, bis ein Steuersignal angelegt wird. SCRs werden zumeist zur Regelung von AC-Netzstrom eingesetzt und werden auch Thyristoren genannt, obwohl diese Bezeichnung manchmal auch für andere verwandte Komponenten verwendet wird.
