The LM27402 is a full-featured synchronous buck controller. With an input range from 3 to 20V (voltage in), it covers the most common intermediate bus rails of 3.3, 5, and 12V. It is an efficient, powerful, and flexible solution for loads up to 30A. There is a 0.6V ± 1% internal voltage reference for low voltage regulation, specifically for ASICs and FPGAs. The LM27402 has low impedance gate drivers to facilitate high efficiency designs by reducing transitional losses at high currents. It also features precision DCR current sensing through the use of a low offset comparator. An additional feature is a monotonic startup into a pre-biased load. This prevents the system from resetting or latching when a voltage is present at start up.
