In addition to increased ULP performance, the F5xx also offers many new advanced ULP features. The new Power Management Module (PMM) features an on-board regulator for Vcore generation, a brown-out-reset circuit, a supply voltage supervisor (for DVcc & Vcore), a programmable supply voltage monitor (for DVcc & Vcore), voltage monitors and supervisors for external voltages, I/O protection at power-fail conditions, and a software selectable power-on-reset at power-fail condition. Additionally, complete power consumption optimization (based on performance requirements) is enabled through the programmable regulated core voltage.
