In summary, the MSP430F5xx, the next generation platform for the MSP430 family, offers high performance of up to 25MHz with many new capabilities such as: integrated USB 2.0, integrated RF transceivers, larger available memory, In-System-Programmable Flash down to 1.8V, “Blocked” Flash that allows the capability to read one section of Flash while erasing another section, and a new Unified Clock System module which supports ultra-low power consumption. Additionally, the MSP430 family of devices has many tools available to aid the designer in every step of the design process, reducing time-to-market and development cost.
