The analog peripherals on the OTP devices have the broadest changes and require the most attention if the newer features are required. This slide shows some of the changes that can be made. The default reference setting can be used, but can also be changed to take advantage of the different options available, such as the 1.2 V reference or the internal regulator option. The OTP devices are all single ended input versus the differential capability of the C8051F34A device. Ensure that when writing the code for the flash version that the negative input mux register is set to the GND setting. This is the default setting for the OTP devices. The SAR clock can be modified to a faster rate if the application requires. This example shows that the conversion time was left the same and the SAR clock register setting remained unchanged.
