The LT1965’s DFN and MSOP packages make it one of Linear Technology's highest power density PNP LDO’s. Additionally, the LT1965’s ultra-low output noise of only 40µVRMS provides superior performance in RF, DSP, instrumentation, and logic supply systems as well as post-regulating switch mode power supplies. It is also optimized for stability and transient response with output capacitors as small as 10µF. Internal protection circuitry includes reverse-battery, reverse current, reverse output, current limiting with foldback, and thermal limiting protection. Another important feature is its wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. For applications requiring large input-to-output differentials, the LT1965 offers a very compact and thermally effective solution.
