The key features of the NCM6 series begin with 4:1 input operating voltage ranges of 9-36 V and 18-75 V, as well as a 2:1 input range of 4.5-9 V. The 9-36 V models accommodate nominal 12, 24, 28, and 32 V systems, while the 18-75 V input models will service nominal 24, 28, 32, 36, 48, and 60 V systems. Next, these units are packaged in an industry-standard dual-in-line 24 pin case, with an equally standard pin configuration providing for multiple sources. The 5.2 kV isolation rating with reinforced insulation supports both medical and a variety of industrial applications. Designed for compliance with the widely referenced UL60950 safety standard for information technology equipment, as well as the UL60601-1 standard for medical equipment, certification is currently pending. For systems requiring controlled startup and/or shutdown, an optional remote on/off control pin is available. Additionally, a full complement of self-protection features including input undervoltage lockout, output short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown ensure survival under a host of abnormal operating conditions.
