The SD16 is a very high precision integrated ADC that has up to 8 fully differential multiplexed inputs and includes a built-in temperature sensor. The converter is based on a second-order oversampling sigma-delta modulator and digital decimation filter. The decimation filter is a comb type filter with selectable oversampling ratios of up to 1024. Other features of the SD16 include: a user selectable low-power conversion mode, software selectable internal or external reference including a precision on-chip reference voltage generation (1.2V), programmable gain amplifier, and a built-in temperature sensor and battery monitor.
