To ensure long field life, the temperatures of the electrolytic capacitors are conservatively rated, enabling lifetimes of up to 13 years operating at 80% load with a 40°C ambient. The product efficiency is high; up to 89%. The series will operate over a wide input range of 85 to 265 VAC and can withstand 300 VAC for 5 seconds (50 to 600 W). This is important in countries where the AC line is poorly regulated, or for operation on AC generator sets where the input can surge 30% when loads are suddenly reduced. The 50 to 600 W models typically have a low 175 µA earth leakage current, ideal for kiosk applications.
