The LTC3851 is a single output synchronous step-down controller and is part of a family of feature-rich, cost-effective synchronous step-down controllers. The LTC3851 complements the LTC3853 triple and LTC3850 dual output controllers, all of which cover a broad range of applications. In most cases, these controllers have several benefits over the competition including: tracking, burst mode operation or pulse skipping, which delivers very low quiescent current in either standby or sleep modes and allows these parts to safely power pre-biased loads.
