Image of Wurth Electronics' WE-UOST Transformers Würth Elektronik has released the markets first family of fully surface-mount, offline transformers for AC/DC power supplies. The transformers are suited for power supplies with wide range input of 85 V_DC to 265 V_DC. The devices have 4,000 V isolation voltage, meeting all standard for industrial and residential applications. Maximum power output of 16 W can be reached, and there is wide range of different output voltages from 5 V to 24 V. Different topologies and configuration can be achieved due to the flexible construction of the transformers. The WE-UOST is designed to fit into several power IC manufacturers such as Linear Technology, STMicroelectronics, and Texas Instruments.
