The machine prepped cable is directly attached to a paddle card for a reliable, simultaneous consistent ribbon termination. After processing, the solder joints are protected by a robust, snap on plastic shroud leaving the gold plated traces at the end of the board exposed for insertion into the Card-Edge Connector.
