The key features of the MTC1 series begin with its fully regulated design. While Murata’s other low power products in larger packages rely on a regulated input source, the MTC1 models accommodate a wide ranging input sources. The 9-18V input models will accommodate nominal 12V and 15V inputs, while the 18-36V models accommodate nominal inputs of 15V, 18V, 24V, 28V, and 32V. For each input range, models are available with output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, and 12V for a total of 6 models. The MTC1 series is designed for compliance with the widely accepted UL 60950 safety standard with reinforced insulation to a working voltage of 250VRMS, with certification pending. The MTC1 series is pending recognition by Underwriters Laboratory (UL) to ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and provides 2 MOOP (Means Of Operator Protection). The MTC1 operates over the very wide industrial temperature range of -40°C to 100°C, supporting operation in still air for the most demanding environments. All models deliver full power to 85°C. Above this temperature, the output power derates, with the units continuing to operate to temperatures over 95°C.
