The switching mechanism is a reliable shorting bar for the SPST Normally Open Configuration. The cap can be either installed by the factory or by the user. With or without the actuator cap, the switch is sealed to IP67. There is a rubber dome nested inside the housing and pressed in by the base to provide better sealing. In addition, the rubber dome is protected by the housing.
