Constant Current Regulators Slide 20

In this diagram, Circuit A has a single CCR driving multiple strings of LEDs. This circuit is not recommended because it requires the LED forward voltages to be matched exactly which is not practical. Also if one of the LED strings fail, the remaining strings will carry the extra current and could be damaged. Circuit B has a CCR for each LED string which eliminates the need for LED matching and protects against string failure.
