This table summarizes the OKI-78SR models. With an ultra wide 7-36VDC input range, fixed outputs of 3.3 or 5VDC up to 1.5A are now available. In a vertical-mount, small footprint, these DC/DC converters are designed in a TO-220 SIP package and are a direct plug-in replacement for 3-terminal 7803 and 7805 series linear regulators offered by various IC manufacturers. With tight regulation and high efficiency, very little electrical noise and very low heat are generated, thus requiring no heatsink or other external components. Able to support a large amount of output ceramic capacitance, the OKI-78SR Series can maintain low output ripple with load transient response in this simple, cost-effective, 3-terminal regulator. This makes it ideal for industrial applications and very easy to use. Additional performance features include outstanding thermal derating performance and stable no-load operation.
