Major features of the MIC2124 include the capability to source up to 25A output current, a 300kHz switching frequency, and Any Capacitor™ stability which allows the use of small value, zero ESR to high ESR output capacitors. The device has Microchip’s unique Hyper Speed Control™ architecture which enables it to have high VIN/low VOUT performance with low output capacitance. There is an internal digital soft-start to ensure reduced inrush current, and cycle-by-cycle foldback current limiting to protect the output FET. The MIC2124 is available in a 10-pin MSOP package with a operating temperature range of -40ºC to +125ºC.
