The Evaluation Kit is comprised of two boards. The motherboard provides the test points needed for measurements and also contains the following SPI slave chips: MCP23S08, 8-bit I/O expander; MCP3204, a 4-channel, 12-bit ADC; 25LC02, 2 kbit EEPROM; and TC77, a temperature sensor. The MCP2210 breakout board is a DIP form-factor module with a mini-USB receptacle and access points for the GP, SPI and power signals. VDD is jumper selectable; the user can select either 3.3V or the 5V as VDD. The breakout board also provides a PICkit Serial Analyzer header, used only for SPI communications, which provides an alternative for the PICkit Serial Analyzer adapter.
