EPP-500 Series Industrial Open Frame Power Supply

MEAN WELL is expanding the 5”x3” open frame product offering to reach 500 W output power in response to the increasing demands for higher power density in open frame power supply applications. In addition to the large portfolio of industrial standard 3”x2”, 4”x2”, 5”x3” products such as the EPS/EPP 15 W ~ 400W power supplies, MEAN WELL is proud to release the 500 W high power density EPP-500 series.

EPP-500 series’ 500 W output is currently the highest available wattage for a 5”x3” open frame type power supply. Key features of EPP-500 include small size (5”x3”), 500 W output power with 25 CFM forced air, 320 W output power with cooling by free air convection, 550 W peak load capability for 3 seconds, -30°C ~ +70°C wide operating temperature, no load power consumption < 0.5 W, 94% high efficiency, 5 V_SB and 12 V_DC / 0.5 A auxiliary power, and operating altitude up to 5000 meters. In addition, the EPP-500 is compatible for both Class I (with FG) and Class II (no FG) installations, making the power supply suitable for installation in both plastic and metal enclosures and can save the system designer time and cost on EMI debugging.
