PI2DPX20 Linear ReDriver™

Diodes PI2DPX2023A and PI2DPX2063A 20 Gbps DP 2.1 UHBR20 linear ReDrivers are configured in a 4-to-4 fashion and run on a 1.8 V power supply with pin strap control and I²C, respectively.

Under different DisplayPort (DP) speeds, the devices support UHBR20, UHBR13.5, UHBR10, HBR3, HBR2, HBR, and RBR. The devices can automatically enter D3 power saving mode by monitoring the system operation status through their on-chip AUX channel listener.

The non-blocking linear ReDriver design of the PI2DPX2063A and PI2DPX2023A guarantees that the differential signals aid in optimizing the overall channel link adjustment carried out by the system transmitter and receiver. Pre-shoot and de-emphasis equalization waveforms are transmitted from the transmitter side to the receiving side via the differential signals.

To account for channel loss and lessen ISI jitters, the ReDriver's inputs are equipped with CTLE equalizers.

The opening of the eye diagram is supported by the programmable flat-gain adjustments. Gains and flat gains of the CTLE equalizer can be flexibly adjusted using the strap pin setting (PI2DPX2023A) or the I²C register (PI2DPX2063A).

With an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and a 2.85 mm x 4.5 mm footprint, the device is available in the minuscule W-LGA4528-32 (FLA32) version.
