This slide highlights the value proposition and the differentiating features provided by the LPC80x family. First, the ARM® Cortex®-M0+ core for power-conscious designs featuring a power management unit with 4 easy-to-use power modes and power profile APIs for simple runtime power optimization. Secondly, the design flexibility provided by the switch matrix block enabling functions to be assigned to any external pin which is not a power or ground pin. The LPC80x family also provides a small footprint in a variety of popular packages including HVQFN, TSSOP and WLCSP options. In addition, an easy to use environment is provided by the LPCXpresso802 and LPCXpresso804 boards, created to enable evaluation of and rapid prototyping of the LPC80x family of MCUs; both of them supported by a range of development tools, including the MCXpresso IDE, IAR EWArm, and Keil MDK. The LPC80x family is supported by example code bundles, which is a basic, complete working example code for each peripheral, giving 8- and 16-bit MCU users a fast transition to the 32-bit LPC800 series.
