The LTC3589 is a complete power management solution for ARM and ARM-based processors and advanced portable microprocessor systems. The IC contains three high efficiency synchronous step-down DC/DC converters, one 1.2A high efficiency synchronous buck-boost regulator, three 250mA LDO regulators, one 25mA “always-ON” LDO regulator, an I²C serial port to control regulator enables, output voltage levels, dynamic voltage scaling and slew rate, operating modes and status reporting, power sequencing to bring up low voltage rails first, a pushbutton controller for easy interface to the microprocessor, all in a low profile 40-pin 6mm x 6mm exposed pad QFN package.
