Automotive-Grade Clamped IGBTs

STMicroelectronics' enlarged its automotive-grade IGBTs product portfolio introducing 400 V and 450 V clamped devices dedicated to electronic ignition. This application-specific IGBT utilizes the most advanced PowerMESH^TM technology optimized for coil driving in the harsh environment of automotive ignition systems. These devices show very low on-state voltage and very high SCIS energy capability over a wide operating temperature range. Moreover, ESD-protected logic level grate input and an integrated gate resistor mean no external protection circuitry is required. Both devices are available either in DPAK or D²PAK featuring low saturation voltage, electro static discharge gate-to-emitter protection, and logic level gate drive.
