SOLICON DRC Series Solid State Contactors

Sensata/Crydom SOLICON DRC series DIN rail mount, IEC standard-based solid state contactors feature proprietary thermal management technology. The DRC series offers high performance levels for electromechanical, solid state, and hybrid technologies. Advanced switching technology allows these contactors to operate a motor at the highest switching frequency currently in the market – 9,000 cycles per hour. They mount on a standard 35 mm DIN rail and require less DIN rail space in panels, making them easy to implement and use, reducing wiring times, saving cabinet space, and simplifying BOMs.

The SOLICON DRC series is available in both standard contactor versions (DRC3P) and reversing contactor versions (DRC3R). The DRC3P is particularly suited for applications needing to control (start/stop) three-phase motors of up to 5 HP at 480 V_AC. It is available in either instantaneous turn-on (for motor control) or zero-voltage turn-on (for resistive loads) and offers either two or three controlled leg configurations. The DRC3R is capable of handling reversing control of three-phase motors of up to 5 HP at 480 V_AC in a compact 45 mm wide package. They boast a size reduction of 50% compared to equivalent reversing electromechanical contactors.
