MF-FSML/X Series PPTC Resettable Fuses

Bourns expands its Multifuse® product line with 8 V and 6 V rated model MF-FSML/X series of low resistance surface mount polymer positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) resettable fuses. This series includes I_hold current ratings from 0.35 A to 1.75 A at the 8 V maximum rated voltage and I_hold current ratings from 2.0 A to 3.0 A at the 6 V maximum rated voltage.

Bourns’ low resistance conductive materials used in this series have post-trip resistance values as low as 0.05 Ω and initial resistance values as low as 0.003 Ω. Such low resistance values help boost the current-carrying capability of the devices. The Bourns model MF-FSML300/6-2 offers an industry-leading 3.0 A I_hold at 6 V_DC in a tiny 0603 package. These devices have been designed to protect against both overcurrent and overtemperature events within the designated specifications.

The model MF-FSML/X series utilizes Bourns’ innovative freeXpansion™ design that increases the performance of the resettable fuse with higher hold currents (I_hold), higher maximum voltage ratings (V_max), improved resistance stability, and smaller footprints. These products are RoHS compliant and UL/TUV recognized for safety requirements. They are produced in Bourns’ IATF16949-certified facility in Xiamen, China.
