A dual-mode Bluetooth® / Bluetooth low-energy adapter kit solution for the STM32 from TI and STMicro
Texas Instruments' CC256xEM Bluetooth Adapter Kit (CC256XEM-STADAPT) offers customers a simple solution, a package that allows quick and easy evaluation between the CC256X Bluetooth solution and STMicroelectronics' STM32 MCU. Utilizing the STM32 MCU evaluation board (STM3240G-EVAL or STM32F4DISCOVERY) with the CC256xEM Bluetooth adapter kit (CC256XEM-STADAPT) and TI’s dual-mode Bluetooth CC256x solution (CC2564MODNEM or CC256XQFNEM ), developers are able to evaluate both Bluetooth classic and Bluetooth low-energy capabilities. Provided for STM32 MCUs is the TI dual-mode Bluetooth stack on STM32F4 MCUs (CC256XSTBTBLESW) and sample applications targeted to the STM3240G-EVAL board.
The CC256x solutions have best in class link budget to provide longer range. The dual-mode solution allows the user to create products that can connect to existing or older mobile devices via Bluetooth OR to newer mobile products that have Bluetooth low-energy. TI’s Bluetooth solutions offer flexibility with ability to customize the software stack as well as several hardware designs and 3rd party offerings to meet broad market needs.
