DC PCB Connectors

Tensility's line of DC PCB connectors is designed to mate with their cable assemblies. The connectors are rated at 48 V, higher than the industry standard, which enables a wide range of applications in a traditional DC power form factor.

The through-hole connectors in this series are available in center pin diameters from 1.1 mm to 2.5 mm and outer diameters of 3.5 mm and 5.5 mm. The terminals are brass with silver plating and the spring contact is stainless steel with silver plating. The current ratings for individual connectors range from 3.5 A for the smaller sizes to 6.5 A for the larger sizes. However, the specifications include a current capacity chart to enable users to check the connectors against the requirements of specific applications.

The series was designed to mate with Tensility standard DC cables, which are also rated at 48 V and available in a variety of lengths and configurations. A key feature of these cables is the spring contact on the plugs, which ensure continuity from plugs to the jack. The connector/cable combos are perfect for applications where a higher voltage is needed in a traditional, small form factor, such as LED lighting, charging stations, security monitors, or health sciences equipment.
