RC12xx RF Modules

Radiocrafts’ RC12xx family is a 2.8 V to 5 V compatible, sub-GHz platform that supports 418 MHz, 427 MHz, 433 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz modules. The RC12XX family was designed as a generic product family with a lot of different options to meet different regulations in various countries.

The RC1240 and RC1280 RF transceiver modules are compact surface-mounted high-performance modules for 25 kHz narrowband FSK operation with embedded RC232™ protocol. The modules are completely shielded and pre-certified for operation under the European radio regulations for license-free use. When used with quarter-wave antennas, a line-of-sight range of 2 km to 4 km can be achieved at 433 MHz.

Radiocrafts also has modules in the RC12xx series for compliance with Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Nordic, and US regulations.

The RC232 is an easy-to-use and effective cable replacement and networking protocol. RC232 is the easiest-to-use and simplest networking protocol for bidirectional wireless transmission from a transmitter to a receiver. It is fully transparent and will appear as a serial connection for the embedded designer. It uses a UART interface and can be configured as point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and peer-to-peer.
