Emerson FB3000 System Cables

Phoenix Contact has expanded its system cabling portfolio for the FB3000 RTU. The FB3000 is the next-gen flow controller from Emerson, used in many upstream and midstream oil and gas applications. The FB3000 is an extremely high-density system with small-pitch terminal blocks and tight spacing between blocks. While this saves space in the control cabinet, it typically makes wiring the I/O signals a very time-consuming and error-prone task. Measuring, cutting to length, prepping, marking, and then terminating each point-to-point wire is an intensive process. However, the system cabling approach does away with the majority of the control-side wiring. Simply plug the connector into the FB3000 personality module (I/O card block), route the cable through the wire duct, then quickly terminate the pre-ferruled and pre-labeled flying leads to the terminal block or relay.

These cables come connected to an encapsulated adapter housing with an integrated ejection lever. This lever has a cam action that pries the adapter off the I/O terminal block header for easy removal. The cables are flame-retardant to UL VW-1, have a braided shield with drain wire, and are available in 1-, 2-, and 3-meter lengths. They are temperature-rated from -40°C to +75°C and have UL and Hazloc approvals.
