ControlLogix System Cables
Phoenix Contact's system cables allow users to plug the connector into the I/O card, route the cable through the wire duct, then quickly terminate
Phoenix Contact has expanded its system cabling portfolio for 1756 (ControlLogix) I/O from Allen-Bradley. Connecting control-side wires in most traditional PLC cabinets is incredibly time-consuming and error-prone. Measuring, cutting to length, prepping, marking, and then terminating each point-to-point wire is intensive. A system cabling approach does away with the majority of control-side wiring. Simply plug the connector into the 1756 I/O card, route the cable through the wire duct, then quickly terminate the pre-ferruled and pre-labeled leads on the desired terminal or relay solution.
These cables come in two variants: low-density 20-position, and high-density 36-position. Each variant comes in four lengths: 1-meter, 2-meter, 4-meter, and 6-meter. As a result, every 1756 I/O card can be connected as the pinning is 1:1. Fully-connectorized versions of these 1756 cables are currently in production to expand this product line.
