Omron offers its 2JCIE-BL01 environmental sensor which conveniently delivers environmental data directly to phones or through cloud services
Omron’s out of the box, 2JCIE-BL01 environmental sensor has seven sensing capabilities depending on the mode in which it is functioning. These sensors include: temperature, humidity, light, pressure, noise, UVI, and acceleration. This sensor can be used in various applications, such as home monitoring, building automation, outdoor weather monitoring, and factory environment monitoring.
The sensor sends information conveniently to a smartphone app:
- Information is communicated via 10 meter Bluetooth® low energy
- Historical data is tracked via a free downloadable app
- Threshold values can be set to have the app notify the user in case of an abnormal sensor reading
