AL8860QMP/1QMP Automotive-Compliant LED Drivers

Diodes' AL8860/1Q hysteretic-mode DC/DC buck LED drivers are AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified. The drivers operate over a wide input supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 40 V. 4.5 V enables the devices to operate under start-stop conditions while 40 V enables them to withstand load dumps. The LED drivers can drive up to 1.5 A LED current in an MSOP8EP package. The AL8860QMP/1QMP supports PWM and analog dimming through the CTRL/VSET pin. Using an external capacitor on this pin allows a soft-start time to be set. Applying 0.2 V or less to the CTRL/VSET pin turns off the internal power switch and causes the device to enter standby-mode with micropower consumption. The AL8860QMP/1QMP drivers are automotive-compliant and support PPAP documents.
