Cornell Dubilier / Knowles offers their radial metalized polyester RC network for transient suppression
The type QAS arc suppressor/snubber network from Cornell Dubilier / Knowles extends the operating life of electronic and electromechanical devices by reducing and/or eliminating the electrical arcing, noise, and EMF. These electrical conditions often cause early failures in relays, switch contacts, and solid-state components such as SCRs and TRIACs.

- Capacitance range: 0.10 µF, 0.25 µF, 0.50 µF, and 1.0 µF
- Capacitance tolerance: ±10%
- Rated voltage: 200 VDC/125 VAC, 60 Hz through 1,600 VDC/660 VAC, 60 Hz
- Operating temperature range: -55°C to +85°C at full-rated voltage
- Resistor tolerance: ±10%
- Resistor values: 22 Ω, 39 Ω, 47 Ω, 100 Ω, 150 Ω, 220 Ω, 330 Ω, and 680 Ω
- Construction metalized polyester in series with an anti-surge resistor
- Dielectric withstand voltage: 1.6 x DC rated voltage at +25°C
- DC life test: 125% of rated voltage for a period of 500 hours at +85°C with capacitance change ≤5% and DF ≤ original limits
- Long-term stability: the capacitance shall not change more than 2% when stored at ambient temperatures and humidity for a period of two years or less
