The small form factor allows for 100G/400G coherent data modules to migrate to small form factor CFP modules while still providing the necessary output signal ranges and performance required to bias the laser communications modules.

The AD5770R provides a digitally programmable current source with multiple output ranges from -60 mA to +300 mA with 14-bit resolution. Each DAC channel can operate with a wide power supply rail from 0.8 V to AV_DD - 0.4 V optimizing power efficiency with a low dropout of 0.245 V. This reduces support circuitry required without degradation in performance, reducing design complexity and system footprint.

- All current sourcing output ranges scale back by up to 0.5×
