For the EMEA region, we are looking for a passionate Partnership Marketing Manager who oversees Partnership Marketing activities for a specified group of suppliers in Europe and ensures a branded and effective customer experience.

Position Overview:

The Marketing Manager – EMEA is responsible for coordinating & executing supplier marketing programs designed to win, reward, and retain customers and clients in Europe; leveraging supplier driven customer insights, positive relationship building, listening to concerns/addressing issues, and educating and sharing recommendations with internal partners on how to better serve the customer. The Marketing Manager - EMEA is the primary liaison between the Supplier and DigiKey Marketing in Europe; leveraging knowledge of the supplier base and internal marketing capabilities to provide optimal partnership marketing solutions. The Marketing Manager – EMEA is responsible for the assessment of DigiKey's Partnership Marketing programs; understanding return on investment and how to optimize. The Marketing Manager – EMEA works collaboratively within the Supplier Development, Marketing & Sales departments to ensure Partnership Marketing programs & activities occur efficiently & effectively. The Marketing Manager – EMEA oversees Partnership Marketing activities for a specified group of suppliers in Europe in a manner which ensures a branded and effective customer experience. This position will be responsible for assisting and expanding the marketing business opportunities with these suppliers. This role will assist in driving market share; leading to the successful execution of supplier & customer strategy and goals.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to...

  • Educate Suppliers, Product Managers and Supplier Business Development Managers & Directors on DigiKey's overall marketing capabilities; providing unique product marketing solutions to supplier
  • Provide insight to DigiKey's Marketing team on DigiKey's supplier base and their products; providing strategic guidance on ideal partnerships
  • Oversight of assigned DigiKey's supplier marketing program(s) and campaign plans from inception to completion. This will include development and implementation of marketing seminars and virtual events; attending onsite/offsite update meetings and participating in numerous conference calls. Completion of ongoing reporting of progress of the supplier programs in detail internally and externally, driving shared vision of what is needed for further program expansion
  • Create, optimize, and evolve supplier marketing strategies to gain|retain customers as well as retain|gain supplier support for collaborative marketing campaigns
  • Develop an understanding of what is needed to create great supplier engagement & a great customer experience
  • Lead the cross-functional team in the creation and preparation of supplier campaigns for execution including campaign strategy, offer development, business case creation and approval, communication brief development, and customer targeting
  • Partner with Digital Marketing team on Campaign Schedule Creation and Maintenance (e.g. internal, external, 3rd party, events); reserving media & spots & filling free advertising spots
  • Coordinate cooperative opportunities, advertising campaigns, and marketing content with assigned suppliers
  • Partner with the Marketing Associate to develop effective supplier campaign execution plans & timelines; ensuring that content is in the schedules and is correct, the campaigns are completed timely and that the objectives conform to DigiKey's standards, operational objectives, user requirements and customer's needs
  • Monitor supplier campaign progress on an ongoing basis, providing status updates to the stakeholders, evaluating progress and quality, managing risk and issue resolution and taking corrective action as necessary
  • Works with the Supplier Development team, suppliers, and Marketing to provide marketing tracking and research information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends for Partnership Marketing
  • Responsible for providing guidance to Product Managers on 'how' supplier partners are represented within DigiKey.com (i.e. Paid, NPHs, Part Search, images); ensuring a holistic view of the partner suppliers to DigiKey customers
  • Rewrite|rework content on behalf of suppliers as needed to ensure on-time, accurate delivery of campaign
  • Understand product gaps in campaigns; partner with Product Manager to identify backup products
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose existing supplier marketing assets into other forms of content, updating and modifying them as needed working with design, video and technical team members to execute and deliver content
  • Stay abreast of standards, strategies, best practices and trends in digital and content marketing management & project management
  • Assist in the development of dashboards in conjunction with external business partners and other DigiKey marketing personnel to give easy to read overviews of program activity & business value
  • Evaluate marketing programs return on investment and develop new techniques to optimize web traffic to enable customer count growth and customer retention
  • Perform quality assurance on landing pages and marketing collateral prior to supplier campaign launch
  • Research and analyze industry and competitive conditions, customer needs, and supplier needs
  • Strive to align Partnership Marketing efforts with DigiKey's core purpose strategy, resulting in targeted return on investment objectives
  • Discover new product marketing opportunities that support new designs and advanced technologies through strategy meetings with Suppliers
  • Prepare and present presentations to various audiences to convey the partnership marketing value
  • Work with Marketing Associate on billing & invoicing for collaborative partnerships; engaging with suppliers as needed to obtain reimbursement for supplier marketing programs
  • Build a bottoms-up annual budget for assigned supplier partners; leveraging previous history, yearly expectation|target to build better marketing programs. Understand impact of assumptions used for developing budgets and forecasts
  • Evolve marketing plan based on changes in supplier budget or shifts in NPI|product roadmaps; using the most accurate, up-to-date information from the supplier
  • Operate effectively in various settings, from analyzing data, to interacting confidently with senior management in discussing supplier strategy, and market/competitive strategy
  • Participate in projects and initiatives based in continuous improvement and driving business value
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement projects

Other Typical Tasks May Also Include:

  • Report on sales and response rates by customer segment for executed supplier marketing campaigns; understanding if DigiKey is gaining|retaining customers in the most productive business segments; assist in designing reports to make them as useful and productive as possible
  • Track response rates and customer retention rates from the various lists for new customer acquisition
  • Participate in staff meetings and attends other relevant meetings and seminars as needed|requested
  • Take on additional responsibilities from Partnership Marketing leadership
  • May travel - internationally & domestically - as needed for the business; tradeshows, supplier meetings, etc.
  • May participate in job shadow activities for other Partnership Marketing staff or other areas of the company as requested
  • May participate in User Acceptance Testing
  • May participate in the creation of training & documentation of processes as well as the facilitation of training

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Technology or Technical, Business Administration
  • Typically 3+ years of experience in Marketing or in customer|supplier facing related role
  • High proficiency in English (C2) and strong communication skills on a global level
  • Understand the various functions of DigiKey, how they work together as well as the industry DigiKey operates in
  • Knowledge of DigiKey brand and its principles
  • Demonstrated comfort in presenting to a small audience in a business meeting setting
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
